Display
Electronic paper, or ePaper displays, mimic the appearance of ordinary ink on paper. Unlike conventional backlit flat-panel displays, ePaper displays can show images almost indefinitely, using only microscopic amounts of power. With a wide contrast ratio and a viewing angle approaching that of normal paper, they allow Card+ to be an interactive device, keeping you informed and in control of your card.
Touch
A biometric interface replaces the cumbersome PIN with a simple touch or gesture for faster payments from your Card+. The touch interface also allows you to interact and directly control your Card+ without relying on a smartphone, bank, ATM, or other devices. Is your smartphone battery running low? No problem; you can still pay for dinner with your Card+.

Explore what it means to add a user interface into the wallet, by participating in the Card+ Squared advanced smart card project. The card features audio-visual notification, with a dynamic ePaper display revealing only a portion of fixed numbers, not enough to steal. The battery-less design (reader-powered super-capacitor) cards include a biometric fingerprint sensor, for authorization of NFC and EMV transactions. And also operates as a FIDO-grade (certification pending) authentication fob, for password-less 2 or 3-factor authentication, via either the NFC, or the ISO7816-13 USB contacts (using a Chip compatible reader).
Sample cards come personalized with example names only. Custom-order cards may be printed with customer-designated names and designs, and optionally with printed with a "XXXX", where XXXX is the last 4-digits of the card PAN from the group of numbered cards, within the block of ISO7812 16-digit or 19-digit range: "6059 74yy … XXXX", and are not usable on any other networks.
